Welcome to your CertSmart Dashboard

Next steps

Congratulations! You’ve set up a CertSmart account and given us enough information about your business to provide you with a quote. Now you can go ahead and proceed with the next steps to get your ISO 9001 accreditation. The step-by-step process for achieving accreditation is explained below.

Step 1

  1. Get your online quote

  • Use our interactive tool to build a personalised quote that confirms what’s included in your price.
Step 2

  1. Pay online

  • Your certification runs in three year cycles and we charge on an annual basis.
  • The price you have been quoted is for your first year payment which is taken online when your contract is signed.
  • If we find major nonconformities, we need to carry out a follow-up. This is done remotely and charged pro-rata based on time required.
  • When payment is made, we’ll confirm your audit date which is typically within 4 weeks.
  • Please note, updates may take a short while to reflect, so if you've made a payment or other type of update and you don't get an immediate receipt, this is usually because it's being processed.
Step 3

  1. Upload documentation for your Stage 1 audit

  • Upload data, documents and information to your personalised dashboard.
  • We’ll guide you through the process with a set of forms designed to give your auditor the information they need to conduct an initial review without you needing to be present.
Step 4

  1. Complete your audit

  • Stage 1:
Your stage 1 audit will be performed remotely and will determine your readiness for stage 2.
Your auditor will review the information you upload to your personalised dashboard, following this they’ll conduct an interview with you, and if necessary, other members of staff. Should any additional time be required for the stage 2 audit this will be discussed with you at the closing meeting on your stage 1 audit with reasons and justifications for why this additional time is needed and will be charged pro-rata.
  • Stage 2:
Your stage 2 audit will take place onsite and will assess whether your management system has been implemented effectively and conforms with certification requirement. You’ll receive an audit report that will detail your assessment’s outcome, key findings, and any areas for improvement.
Step 5

  1. Receive your certification

  • When approval is given, you’ll receive your UKAS accredited ISO 9001 certificate and associated approval marks that you can use to promote your achievement.
